I'm Not There.

When you're singing a birthday song to your close friend during the celebration last week,
when your family welcomes a new puppy in to your home and still have not thought of its name,
when you laugh so hard at a joke that a person made that tears came out your eyes,
when you anxiously go online to check your results from the examination a month ago,
when you need a hug a after knowing your results were bad,
i was not there.

When all the couples in the room are your friends and the one without his partner is you,
when everyone else have a partner to kiss when the countdown on New Year's Eve ended except you,
when all your friends go out with their partners and you have one free afternoon to spend,
when your favourite love song was played where couples could dance ever so sweetly,
when the stars could not be brighter and the waves splashing into the clear white sands could not sound more peaceful,
when the view could not be more beautiful and the hill could not be more lonely,
i was not there.

when will i ever be there?
